Now, the energy crisis in Europe is probably temporary… but there can still be a structural bid in the oil markets.
The CPI print comes out in 2 days, and that economic data has been a key market driver over the past few months.
The crash in June was after a hot CPI print.
So if CPI comes in not-so-hot, it will give the Fed a bit more “wiggle room” so that they can save face from hiking too aggressively.
But that means oil can have some more tailwinds…
